About Me

Hi, my name is James Richards, owner of James Media, LLC. I have been involved with photography my entire life. It all started when I was 6 years old, and my mother gave me a simple 110-film camera (Thank you, Mom!). That was over 40 years ago. Since then, I have loved capturing life to share with others in and around Benton, LA.

As a captain on a river boat, I have captured aspects of life as a videographer and photographer that most people never get to see. Through my lens, I capture the river and river life while giving people a look into my life.

I am also a family man. I have a beautiful wife and four amazing children with whom I enjoy sharing and capturing moments. Our oldest is 26 and our youngest is 4. They are my biggest fans.

As this passion has grown over the years, my family, friends and co-workers have encouraged me to pursue photography and videography as a profession. So, over the past couple of years, I have dedicated myself to learning all forms of this art. I have learned how to film with a drone and will soon take my test to become a certified drone pilot. Since I have had such a unique position in life, I have decided to share my adventure.
